Henk-Jan van Essen on "eMember - General Protection effective dispite Membership"

Hi,

Since 2014 I use the WPeMember plugin. But this time I am wandering in the dark.

I have an online course and I am using the drip technique as suggested in article: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/how-to-use-auto-upgrade-feature-to-drip-content-194.

I read http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forum/topic/wp-emember-content-protection-not-working-common-mistakes and decided to (3) protect my categories. But unfortunately that works too well
;-(
So this what I did:
1. By selecting “General Protection” from the drop down menu and checking the checkboxes next to the category-a, category-b and category-c and I protected these cats.
2. By selecting "membership-level-a" from the drop down menu I granted that membership access to category-a.
3. I followed the same procedure with "membership-level-b" and "membership-level-c".

Auto Upgrade is on, starting on 1 day for membership-with-category-b and 2 days (it's a test) for membership-with-category-c from today.
A new member is added, his membership starts today with membership-level-a, auto-upgrade-date is today AND he is grated access to the 3 membership-levels a/b/c.
Then, when I log in as this test-member, the "After Login Page" is shown (I protected that page and granted access to this membership-level-a). The moment I click on one of the category-a-posts shown on that page (I granted access in step 2 here above) I see a content-protected-sign. So the page belonging to membership-level-a is shown (as expected) but the posts (course-overview) are blocked.

So I have no clue what I do wrong or what setting to change to get this working.
